We are announcing the winning proposals for Symposia by Fulbright 2026

We are proud to announce the proposals selected as part of our Symposia by Fulbright 2026 call for proposals, an initiative aimed at co-funding high-level symposia, seminars, and academic forums for the exchange of knowledge between Colombia and the United States.

𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞́𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐨:

• “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” Project, from the University of the Andes, in partnership with: Drexel University, the Technological University of Bolívar, and the National Planning Department.
• Project “𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿,” by the National University of Colombia, in partnership with: Columbia University, the University of La Amazonia, and the Omacha Foundation.
• “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲” Project, from El Bosque University, in partnership with: Pontifical Bolivarian University (Montería campus), the University of Santander (Valledupar campus), and the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD).
• Project “𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔 “𝗘𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆” Project, led by the Catholic University of Colombia, in partnership with: the University of Georgia, the University of Antioquia, and Swisscontact.

𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜 𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭:

• “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁” Project, by the Julio Garavito Colombian School of Engineering, in partnership with: the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga and the University of Los Llanos.
• The “𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵” project, led by the University of La Sabana in partnership with the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia and the CINDE Foundation.

The winning projects address strategic challenges in areas critical to the country’s development and reflect the potential of binational academic cooperation to generate knowledge that has a real impact.
