Description

Description

The Fulbright Commission in Colombia offers the assignment of English Teaching Assistants for 2022- 2023. This grant is aimed at Colombian Higher Education Institutions (IES, by its acronym in Spanish) interested in receiving the support of one or more young U.S. native speaker to support the teaching of English in their institutions according to their needs, for a period of ten (10) months (one academic year).

The Fulbright ETA grant seeks to strengthen English as a second language in Colombian Higher Education Institutions (IES). The grant also allows both the Higher Education Institutions (IES) and the assistants to benefit from a permanent cultural exchange that enriches their experience during the grant period and opens new windows and opportunities for the parties involved.

Among the objectives of the program are:

Strengthening the teaching of English as a second language in Colombia, thus contributing to the goals established by the National Government.

To contribute to the processes of internationalization of higher education in Colombia.

Generate new links and strengthen existing ones between the Colombian and U.S. academic communities, with the aim of supporting educational and teaching processes in both countries.
